Double Trouble!

Oh yeah I am super excited to say I am picking up Lisa tonight! It has been way to long since I have gotten to see her. We got big plans for this weekend. Friday we are going to get together with all the girls in Gastonia at Katie's house for some lunch. We will be having some good

Chick fil la. Then getting some baby time in. Katie just had a beautiful baby girl about a month ago. Also it has been awhile since they have seen Virginia. Lisa and I will also be going to my parent's house Friday to get some visit time with Susan and Sam. Saturday we will be getting together with Katherine and Kristina. Also it is going to be great to have Lisa to catch up on some good Chick Flicks like Twilight and HSM3. Oh how I need this girl time. So need less to say Double Trouble are back together again!

First Sippy Cup Alert!

This is a exciting day. Yesterday when I went to the grocery store I decided to buy Virginia her first sippy cup. She lately has been not loving her bottle. I believe it was just because she was teething. So today before I fed her applesauce I gave her some breast milk in her new sippy cup. It was a success. She loved the cup. She also took to it quite well. When I went to take it away and put her in her chair she was not happy. It was just to cute. My little girl is growing up.

Catch Up!

Ok so it has been awhile since my last post. So sorry but nothing much as been going on. I hope everyone had a great Easter. We went down to my parent's house in Gastonia and had a amazing lunch with all the family. There was great food and great company. Also Virginia finally got her a walker. She is also starting to get the hang of it too. Well that is all for now. Enjoy the super cute photos and video. Oh and sorry Mom just had to post your photo of you and Virginia just to cute!

A Girl Can Dream!

So I have been searching for a cheap walker for Virginia. I keep looking on craigslist and Ebay. I have found some good prices on walkers on craigslist. Now it is just the matter of deciding which one I want and saving our money. Now that is the realistic Kathy thinking. But there is one walker that is the cadillac of walkers. I just drool over them when I see them online and there is two at the consignment shop we go to. They are way overpriced. They run anywhere from $95.00 to over a hundred dollars. They are just to cool. I would never spend that much money on something I know she would grow out of or just not like. But again they are just to cool. This is my silly post for the week. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the sunshine that finally decided to come out today.

How Embarrassing!

As I was googling for a new art blog to follow. I came across this blog entry on The Design Blog about a bus stop in the Netherlands that will remind you of your extra weight. Here is the full blog entry from The Design Blog written by Naveen.

You better not sit on this if you are hiding your extra flab. Netherlands-based health club operator Fitness First has planned to set up weight meters at some of the bus shelters in the city of Amsterdam. While the person sits on the nearby bench, the machine tells the actual weight. The back of the bench has a chart that shows if the person is above the ideal weight. The idea of bus shelters with weight meters is not new to us, but the installation concept by Fitness First looks quite trendy. These weight meters would be a great way for the lasses to flatter their figure.

Could you imagine broadcasting your weight for the whole world to see. I guess it would be a reality check. But to me it is a little extreme.

Well today, Friday the 13th, is a special day. It is my big sister Susan's 29th birthday! Happy Birthday Dork! I hope you have a awesome day. I know you will have a blast cheering on the Tarheels at Leslie's house. Hopefully Sam will behave for you today. Also Rufus and Nico wanted me to pass along a message for them. They got all dressed up and made you a birthday cake. Nico said, " I turned my back for a second and Rufus decided to taste the cake." Rufus said, " just to make sure it was ok for my mama." What are you going to do with those two. Well have a great day Susan and I can't wait to make it down to try out the Wii Fit with you.

Addiction

So lately I have been addicted to finding new blogs to follow. Usually a new blog will only keep my interest for a day or so. I just usually lose interest or can't connect to what they are blogging on. But I have found a blog that has kept my interest for almost a full month now. Design* Sponge is the best creative blog that I have come across in awhile. It is run by Brooklyn-based writer, Grace Bonney. She focuses on home and product design. She updates her blog daily except for Saturday and Sunday. Her blog covers a vast range of topics. There are multiple categories to explore. My favorite is the before and after section. Here she shows pictures of rooms or furniture that have been redesigned. I also enjoy the fact that I am still coming across new things. I would highly recommend everyone to go check it out.
