Family BBQ

Yesterday was a great Saturday! Me and Reiggin packed up and headed to Hendersonville, NC. My sweet Aunt Annette and husband Robert had the whole family over for a family BBQ. We got a little late start on the road, but we got a move on. We had to stop for gas, drinks, to put air into my tires, and for me to take a bathroom break – one of many. I started off driving, but like always I got sleepy and my nice husband Reiggin took over. So we were supposed to get up to Hendersonville around noon, but we got there about 12:30 p.m.. Yeah we were the last ones there, which is usually Lisa, my sister. Love you, Lisa! But it was all good. We got in and said our hellos and it was time to eat. Man, talk about some good food. There were hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, salad, chips, chili, slaw, pickles, and cake. And of course my favorite soda, mmmm. I got to have my once-a-week soda which was so nice. Since I am pregnant I have been trying to be good and lay off caffeine. But we all filled our bellies and headed for the couch. After relaxing for awhile we decided to play some games. This is definitely a long time Ford Family tradition. Now, this was Reiggin's first experience playing games with the Ford Family. I had forgot to mention that we are just a little bit competitive. What am I saying is, we are killers when it comes to our games. But it was loads of fun. We played a couple of games of  Catch Phrase, boys vs. girls. Unfortunately, the boys won. We will get them next time. And to finish off the day we did what we always do, the family photos. So overall it was a blast to have everyone together and to catch up. There are a lot of changes coming to the Ford Family – two new members will be here by next year. New homes and new husband. It has definitely been a great year.

Cooking with Reiggin

Well after the tomato soup and grilled cheese episode I had, I decided my next dinner would be spaghetti – something simple, yet good. And, luckily, my amazing husband did all the cooking as I observed. I am truly one luckily lady. I have a great cook and a great man as my husband. He even helped clean off the table and helped me do the dishes. I can only say I am blessed! To top it off the next day, 4th of July, we decided to chill out and just hang out at our new home together. We both had the day off so that was nice. For dinner we decided to cook tacos. Boy, did the chicken smell so good.  Hopefully one day I will be able to cook him meals just has great as what he has cooked for me. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
